A boat started sinking into the Morro Bay Estuary the night of Nov. 29, 2015.Dock managers discovered the boat on Nov. 30, 2015.California Marine & Salvage tried to remove the boat from the bay.Jim Sanders from California Marine & Salvage found a hole when he dove underneath the boat.Sanders and his coworker, Eric King, blow up flotation devices to try and erect the boat.This is the view of the boat from above the dock in the late afternoon on December 1.Sanders and King failed to erect the boat and it sunk even deeper around dusk on Dec. 1.The U.S. Coast Guard employee on the scene ordered that Sanders and King withdraw from the job.The deeply sunken boat, which was leaking oil, was required to sit in the bay for another night.
